Volcanic Sand Tea Bowl

Based on the Japanese teabowl this wheel thrown bowl has a beautifully textured smooth pebble feel in the hand. Wheel thrown with a white stoneware clay to which I mixed in black volcanic sand.  Glazed inside it is  perfect for a warming broth on a chilly day this has been designed to sit perfectly in the hand to afford a moment for contemplation and reflection.  10cm H x 13cm W
